It is not unusual for us provide packaging solutions for products that travel the globe but a fully assembled car seat was a first for the team at Boxes and Packaging (Swindon).
Our brief, from an existing customer, was to provide a solution that was easy to pack and easy to load, and would ensure the safe sea transit of a pair of automotive seats. Furthermore, the pack should be adaptable to accommodate varying chair types.
“Our corrugated pallet box is a tried and tested way of shipping cumbersome items yet the inclusion of a pre-formed base and lid gives a secure and adaptable solution for the pairs of car seats,” said Paul Fishlock Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Swindon). “The die cut sleeve requires only one cutting tool keeping manufacturing processes to a minimum yet delivering maximum effectiveness for our customer.”
The design ensured that any damage during transit was eradicated, packing times were decreased and the strength of the pack permitted easy and robust stacking in the container. It is an excellent example of a multi-faceted packaging solution combining a variety of components, fulfilling client demands whilst integrating our design. “This solution will ensure that this well respected automotive marque retains its brand giving a safe and secure transport solution,” said Andy. “Production line efficiencies are met through timely and reliable deliveries in the UK and the simple design encourages timely line side packing as and when required.”
